A driveway that drains is a driveway that lasts

Washboard, ruts, and potholes usually come back to one thing: water with nowhere to go. We regrade and level gravel driveways, rebuild the crown so water sheds off the sides, and spread gravel or road base you’ve had delivered where the surface has worn thin.

We also spread delivered topsoil, mulch, and rock where you want it and level ground for sheds and pads, using a tractor sized for the job. We work on residential properties only.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should a gravel driveway be graded?

Most gravel driveways around here do best with grading once or twice a year: in spring after freeze-thaw and snow season, and again in late summer or fall before winter. Steep driveways, heavy traffic, or drainage problems may need it more often.

Do you supply the gravel?

No. You order gravel, road base, topsoil, mulch, or rock from a local supplier and have it delivered to your property, and we spread and grade it. Not sure how much to order? We can suggest an amount when we look at the job.

Will grading fix my potholes and washboard?

Filling potholes alone rarely lasts. We regrade the surface and rebuild the crown so water runs off, and where the gravel is thin we spread fresh gravel you’ve had delivered. That keeps potholes from coming right back.

What is crowning, and why does it matter?

A crowned driveway is slightly higher in the middle than at the edges, so rain and snowmelt run off instead of sitting in ruts. It’s one of the most important parts of a good grading job.

Can you level ground for a shed?

Yes. We level ground for sheds and pads and can spread delivered gravel or road base for a firm, even base.

What areas do you serve for grading?

Residential properties across El Paso County, including Colorado Springs, Falcon, Peyton, Black Forest, and Calhan. Call (719) 330-1227 to ask about your property.
